Danubius Hotels is starting the summer with a new bistro concept. Today Bistro & Bar has been created in the renovated lobby areas of four of the chain's hotels in the capital and on the northern shore of Lake Balaton.
The Danubius chain has brought the food and beverage outlets of several of its hotels under a single brand. Guests are welcomed in freshly designed spaces in three hotels in Budapest and one in Balatonfüred.
The new concept first appeared at the Danubius Hotel Arena and the Danubius Hotel Hungaria in Budapest, and was then joined by the Danubius Hotel Annabella in Balatonfüred. The concept has also been introduced at the Danubius Hotel Helia, so guests can now find the unified brand, look, and food and drink offering in four hotels.
As the chain explains in its announcement, in recent years it has modernised the communal areas in several of its hotels; these are now not just places of arrival and departure but also spaces for meetings, conversations, work and relaxation.
“We did not have a classic hotel restaurant in mind, but an open, friendly space with room for a morning coffee, a quick lunch or an evening get-together alike. The same idea guided us when putting together the menu: we offer familiar, likeable dishes in which Hungarian favourites meet the world of international comfort food,” said Papdi László, corporate Food & Beverage director of the hotel group, about the new concept.
The easily accessible venues in Budapest and Balatonfüred are open to locals, tourists and people working in the area, and thanks to their dog-friendly approach, guests can also drop in with their four-legged friends. In this way, the brand hopes to become a natural part of everyday life beyond the walls of the hotels, the announcement adds.
