The Golden Day Award was founded by Day Holiday Kft. in 2005.

It was created to evaluate the best conference hotels in Hungary.

The Golden Sun award was founded by Day Holiday Kft. in 2005. Registered trademark. It was established with the goal to rate Hungary’s best conference hotels. Day Holiday Llc. customers and employees compare the Hungarian event locations according to professional aspects.

The award is a symbol: it is a handshake between experts in the hotel industry and the participants of event management.
Giving away the award we also acknowledge the work of hotels. The awarded hotels helped Day Holiday in accomplishing successful events with their trustworthy and high-level services.

We award the best national conference hotels in five categories every year:

  • Hungary’s best *** conference hotel
  • Hungary’s most promising hotel opened in the current year

2020. On 3 July,for the fifteenth time, the Golden Day Award was presented to the best Hungarian conference and wellness hotels by the awarding body, Day Holiday Kft., with the support of the Association of Hungarian Hotels and Restaurants as a professional partner. This time, apart from the usual gala with a large number of guests, only a small group of guests, Day Holiday Kft. employees, founders, Tamás Flesch, President of MSZÉSZ, as well as the award winners and representatives of the professional press attended the award ceremony. This decision was taken because of the Covid19 epidemic and its consequences.

The event management company has evaluated the best hotels according to professional criteria, based on the opinions of its clients, guests and staff.

The award winners and the guests of the press were welcomed by Zoltán Czvitkó and Tamás Flesch, President of the Association of Hungarian Hotels and Restaurants. The award-winning hotels were only able to present themselves to a small professional audience this year, but to compensate for this, Day Holiday will soon publish a short video on its website and social media platform to bring the highlights of the awards ceremony to all interested parties.

Day Holiday Kft., the first Hungarian-owned company established in 1995 to organise corporate events, conferences and training courses. with over 20,000 events and more than half a million guests, has been organising the Golden Day Gala since 2005.

Last but not least, we would like to mention that this year the company celebrates its 25th anniversary and the Golden Day itself its 15th birthday.
