Elysée is Budapest’s newest coffee house and bistro, born from a fusion of reimagined Hungarian and French-style bistro cuisine. We welcome you every day of the week with carefully prepared coffees, a warm interior, French charm, a constantly changing lunch menu, gourmet à la carte dishes and a wide selection of wines. Voilà!
Our philosophy:
Elysée Bistro is the proud successor of the Elysée, the legendary former coffee house on Kossuth tér founded by the Gönczi brothers. Continuing its traditions while remaining open to new developments in gastronomy, and blending the characteristics of famous Hungarian cuisine and French-style bistro cooking, our aim is for Elysée Bistro & Coffee House to become a meeting place for gourmets. We welcome our guests in a friendly, homely setting that combines elements of old-time coffee houses and modern bistros.
Like our predecessors, our aim is for the area around Parliament to be constantly filled with colourful life and broad smiles. We look forward to welcoming you too, with our delicacies, Budapest’s outstandingly beautiful views and a few personal, warm words!
