ibis continues its dynamic growth in Central and Eastern Europe. The brand has opened the newest member of its Hungarian portfolio, the ibis Styles Debrecen Airport. The Debrecen hotel follows the recently opened tennis-themed ibis Styles Chisinau. The ibis Styles Katowice Airport in Poland is also set to open soon.

Opened this month, the ibis Styles Debrecen Airport welcomes guests with 88 spacious rooms featuring aviation-inspired design – including 16 fully equipped apartments tailored for longer stays.

The hotel’s distinctive aviation theme comes to life in its centrepiece: a real aircraft model suspended above the reception and the hotel’s stylish bar sets the first impression. Many of the artworks were created in collaboration with the Kós Károly Art and Craft School in Debrecen.

Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast every morning and return later in the day for refined European cuisine infused with Hungarian flavours. The well-equipped meeting room next to the restaurant is an ideal venue for corporate gatherings or private dinners. The hotel offers ample parking, including space for coaches and EV charging stations.

One of the hotel’s key strengths is its strategic location, right next to Debrecen International Airport.

“The project perfectly reflects our strategy of expanding into high-potential regional destinations with strong travel, business and cultural appeal,” said Jean Wendling, Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Accor’s premium, midscale and economy brands in Eastern Europe.

New hotels in Moldova and Poland
In Moldova, the brand recently unveiled the ibis Styles Chisinau, a tennis-themed hotel near Chișinău International Airport. The hotel offers family-friendly services – including family rooms, a children’s menu and a playground – as well as free parking, a fitness centre, laundry service and meeting rooms. The on-site Perfect Match restaurant serves a menu inspired by tennis tournaments, while the relaxed bar offers a place to recharge.

In Poland, the ibis Styles Katowice Airport opens its doors in July. Located in Pyrzowice, right next to the country’s fastest-growing airport, the hotel has 75 creatively designed rooms inspired by a “fly me to the moon” theme. Facilities include a restaurant and bar, meeting rooms, a gym and an airport shuttle.

ibis has recently opened new hotels in Germany (Berlin and Neckarsulm), Spain (Madrid) and Belgium (Hasselt), and new hotels will soon follow in the United Kingdom (York). The latest milestone in its growth is the debut of ibis Styles in Estonia, with an elegant hotel in the heart of Tallinn.
