On 3 June 2025, IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, announced the signing of Crowne Plaza Katowice with its partners DL Invest (Investor) and Hotel & More (Operator) in Poland.
Expected to open in 2026, the 178-room hotel will be the second Crowne Plaza property in Poland, joining Crowne Plaza Warsaw – The HUB and a European portfolio of 90 Crowne Plaza hotels already in operation, with a further 17 in development.
The hotel is located along the Drogowa Trasa Średnicowa, one of the most important transport routes in southern Poland, right next to Silesia City, the region’s largest shopping centre, so guests can easily explore the city in their free time. Crowne Plaza Katowice has excellent connections to the International Congress Centre in Katowice and the Spodek event venue, and is easily accessible by public transport, making it an ideal destination for international and domestic travellers alike.
The hotel will be six storeys high, with a restaurant and a lobby café. Modern meeting and event spaces will also be available, making it the perfect choice for large business conferences as well as smaller, more intimate gatherings.
