Recently fully renovated, the 126-room Hotel Erzsébet will operate from late summer 2026 under the name Hotel Erzsébet City Center Budapest, a member of Radisson Individuals.
The company said the franchise partnership fits well with the hotel chain’s long-term growth strategy, which, besides developing its own brands, also builds on operating international hotel brands.
With Hotel Erzsébet joining, the hotel chain’s portfolio of 16 hotels now comprises five brands.
“A new chapter begins in the history of Hotel Erzsébet, and for our company this is another important milestone. The arrival of Radisson Individuals in Hungary is both a recognition of the improvements recently carried out at the hotel and a confirmation of the expertise Danubius has built up over decades in international hotel operations,” said Balázs Kovács, CEO of Danubius Hotels Zrt.

Hotel Erzsébet’s local operations are the responsibility of hotel manager Ágnes Katona and her team.
She has more than two decades of industry experience and has managed the Danubius Hotel Astoria and the Danubius Hotel Erzsébet since February 2026. Ágnes Katona has worked in the hotel industry for 20 years; she joined Danubius in 2020 and provided indispensable support in hotel operations during the Covid period. From September 2022 she continued as a member of the Danubius Hotels central procurement team, and from May 2024 she was head of housekeeping at the Hilton. As hotel manager, she believes that good operations are founded on predictable systems and a team whose members look out for one another.
Hotel Erzsébet will continue to operate without interruption until the rebranding, and from late summer 2026 it will welcome guests as Hotel Erzsébet City Center Budapest, a member of Radisson Individuals.
