On 21 May 2026 the Golden Sun Awards were presented. With them, the award’s founder, Day Holiday Kft., recognises the work of the best Hungarian conference and wellness hotels and event venues, with the support of the Hungarian Hotel & Restaurant Association as professional partner. The award ceremony was held in the Ballroom of the Hilton Budapest.
Founded in 1995, the company has reached many milestones over the past three decades. It continues to develop and grow.
In 2005 the company founded the Golden Sun Award to recognise the country’s best conference and wellness hotels. For more than 20 years now, the award has been a symbol: a handshake between hotel professionals and the players of the events market.
Each year, the award recognises and thanks the hotels and event venues whose reliable, high-quality services have helped make events a success.
Their motto has remained unchanged since the company was founded: “Our company works like a bespoke tailor. We make every event to ‘fresh measurements’. Our aim remains to provide our partners with outstanding quality at affordable prices.”
Nearly fifty companies are among their clients. These include businesses in pharmaceuticals, finance, auditing, IT, electronics and the food industry, as well as leading players from many other sectors.
The event management company assessed the best hotels according to professional criteria, based on the opinions of its clients, guests and colleagues.

The award winners and guests were welcomed by managing director Czvitkó Zoltán. The award-winning hotels had the opportunity to present themselves to a professional audience.
Guests were received on arrival by host Borbély Ferenc, and the evening’s programme was enlivened by a musical performance from the Pély Barna duo and by the Fever Dance Group.
Founded in 1995 as the first Hungarian-owned company dedicated to organising corporate events, conferences and training sessions, Day Holiday Kft. – with tens of thousands of events and more than half a million guests behind it – has been hosting the Golden Sun Gala since 2005.
