The building dates from the XIX. century, the designs were inspired by the Passage des Panoramas in Paris. Later rebuilt as the headquarters of the Takarékbank, the magnificent Art Nouveau building with its Gothic and Moorish decorative elements, colourful majolica tiles and sculptures is one of Budapest’s outstanding architectural gems.
