The castle is located at the foot of the beautiful Mátra Mountains, in Parádsasvár. The beautiful scenery and the Mátra Mountains are just the beginning of a magical stay at the hotel! The Kastélyhotel Sasvár Resort is located 100 km from Budapest, on the main road number 3, or from the M3 motorway, and from Gyöngyös on the main road number 24.
Guests can stay in three wings: the Renaissance, the Rendez-vous and the Romantique, with a total of 53 standard rooms, 5 suites and 1 apartment, accommodating 140 people.
The Renaissance wing is the main building itself, where you’ll find the halls and elegant suites. The four-storey tower section houses the Monarchy Room, the Millennium Room, the Sala Terrena Salon, the Charles Salon, the Geraldine Salon and the Bellevue Observatory. The building’s furnishings are in walnut brown shades, reflecting the elegance that the wing deserves. The building is furnished in Biedermeier and Empire style. The first floor of the wing is the Piano Nobile, the noble floor. On this floor, on the eastern side, there are three suites, the George, the Carolingian and the Rákóczi princely suites. In addition to the forest view suites, there are five rooms on the first floor overlooking the courtyard. On the second floor, there are two suites with a special atmosphere, the Michael and the Katinka, and 8 attic rooms to choose from.
The eight rooms in the Rendez-vous wing can provide a lasting memory for honeymooners and travellers in love. The furnishings in this part of the building are in cherry shades, with a predominantly mauve colour. The beds were decorated with tulle canopies. The rooms have windows overlooking the forest and the heart-shaped pond in the castle’s park.
The Romantique wing has 32 rooms and the apartment. The greenish colour
28 rooms are equipped with twin beds and 8 with extra beds. There are 3 rooms with elegant vinyl floors for dogs and a handicapped room in this wing. The Romantik Wing also houses the restaurant, gym and wellness area.

The wellness area, which has undergone huge changes in recent years, has not only been renovated, but new experience elements have also been created.
All the necessary relaxation services are provided for a pampering relaxation: indoor adventure pool, indoor jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, hay sauna, beer sauna, salt cabin, steam cabin, Kneipp treader, outdoor panoramic jacuzzi and outdoor (seasonal) adventure pool await guests who want to relax.
Appointments
Monarchy Room: perhaps the most beautiful room in the Castle is the 117 square metre, granite-tiled, air-conditioned Monarchy Room, perfect for conferences, meetings or even dancing. The large doors on the east wall of the room open onto a terrace of around 57 square metres, which in summer is an excellent place for refreshments (in bad weather the adjacent café provides a venue). Seated in a row, it can accommodate 100 people, or a maximum of 80-90 for a wedding meal.
Millennium Hall: The castle hotel took its present form in the fever of the millennium thanks to the design of Miklós Ybl. This is the atmosphere of the Millennium Event Hall. The 62 sqm air-conditioned, carpeted living room also opens onto a large terrace. It is currently the venue of the Hungarian Sports Stars Exhibition, but can also be used for other events.
Sala Terre
na Salon: The Salon is located on the ground floor, next to the two halls, with a small terrace on the south side and, as the name suggests (“mother earth”), a small door leading to the park. It can be the perfect venue for important, private events, providing a relaxed environment and backdrop for small meetings (up to 20 people).
Charles’ Salon: located on the first floor of the Castle, it can be reached by lift or even by the spiral staircase that has been preserved in its original form. This room currently houses a doll exhibition, the library and a private pool table. It can be used for small events (up to 15 people) on request.
Geraldine Salon: Located on the third floor, this is the only section of the salon that remains in its original state, accessed by a spiral staircase from the ground floor to the tower. Guests can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view through the windows. It is the only room on this floor, so it is perfect for private events (up to 15 people). It currently houses the playroom.
Bowling room: located in the underground connecting corridor, the bowling room is a popular evening venue for groups to enjoy themselves until dawn. The bowling alley has 2 lanes, slot machines, simulators, billiards, foosball and squash courts. Guests are served by a beer bar. The room is recommended for up to 40 people.
Barbecue terrace: the barbecue terrace and cocktail bar are located directly by the outdoor pool. Perfect for more informal events or larger gatherings of friends, up to 120 people. Guests can enjoy freshly grilled, smoked food accompanied by a cocktail and use of the pool. Seasonally, it is only possible to book during the summer months.

The food prepared by the chefs in loda’s own restaurant is a true gastronomic experience every time, with fresh ingredients and a variety of delicious dishes to suit every palate. The hotel staff will try to accommodate all personal requests, with personalised offers for all events and, of course, special dietary requirements. Guests also have the opportunity to participate in an organised wine and brandy tasting.
Recreational opportunities
There are many sports and entertainment facilities at the Castle. Outdoor sports facilities (weather permitting) include tennis courts, basketball court, beach volleyball court, ping pong table, bicycle rental, boating or even laser tag, as well as indoor chess, backgammon, recreation room, play station, children’s play room, bowling alley, squash court, billiards, foosball table, 4k car and motor simulator.
Parking: 60 designated parking spaces are available within the Castle. 1.000Ft/car/night.
Outdoor pools: the outdoor pool is seasonal, the panoramic outdoor jacuzzi is open all year round.
