Gyula, a historic spa town rich in monuments, lies in south-eastern Hungary. Set in the Castle Garden amid ancient trees, next to the Boating Lake and the Castle, and built together with the four-star Castle Bath, Hunguest Hotel Gyula welcomes its guests with a friendly atmosphere and a varied range of services.
ROOMS
Building 1 (the former Dürer wing) welcomes those in need of rest with 153 standard double rooms with balconies, 10 interconnecting family rooms with balconies, 4 junior suites, 5 suites and 4 accessible rooms with balconies (with specially designed bathrooms). In the renovated Building 2 (the former Munkácsy wing), 56 standard, 20 interconnecting family, 24 superior and 2 accessible rooms provide four-star accommodation.
WELLNESS
The hotel's Harmónia Wellness Centre takes care of our hotel guests' refreshment, relaxation and rest. Our wellness and fitness facilities include Finnish and infrared saunas, a solarium, an experience shower, an aroma bath and a fitness room. The Gyula Castle Bath can be reached directly from our hotel via a heated, covered corridor. The 72°C medicinal water from the bath's thermal well ensures perfect regeneration and recharging. Young people and families can enjoy countless forms of entertainment: a children's water paradise, whirlpool and wave pools, a beach volleyball court, giant and kamikaze slides, a mini golf course, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a variety of cultural, entertainment and sports programmes.
GASTRONOMY
At the Orchidea Restaurant of Hunguest Gyula, guests can discover the flavours of international cuisine and local specialities alongside Hungarian specialities. The head chef's selection includes dishes typical of our region and vegetarian dishes, and everyone will find something to their taste in the rich buffet breakfast and dinner. In our Violin
café we offer a wide selection of speciality coffees and excellent drinks, including specialities from Hungary's wine regions!
EVENTS AND CONFERENCES
With nearly 390 square metres of conference space, the Erkel Room of Hunguest Hotel Gyula can seat up to 295 people theatre-style, and the Salon (the room's foyer) a further 150 people. Our smaller breakout rooms provide venues for smaller meetings and gatherings.
