Time Out Market Budapest

On Saturday 20 September, Time Out Market Budapest officially opened its doors in the Corvin Palace on Blaha Lujza tér. The gastronomy and culture hub welcomes visitors every day from 11:30 to 23:30 to discover dishes by award-winning chefs from the city and the country, the offerings of popular restaurants and the specialities of up-and-coming culinary talents.

The first Market to open in the Central and Eastern European region offers eleven culinary concepts, three bars, five event venues and nearly 540 seats. Here gastronomy, drinks, local culture, music and creativity complement one another to create a unique atmosphere.

Visitors – whether they come with family, with friends or on their own – can take a seat at communal tables and taste their way through the most exciting flavours, while the chefs and their teams prepare tasty creations before their eyes, such as Sichuan spinach, Szaletly layered potatoes, beef tartare, oyster emulsion or Pizza Margherita. The three bars are an attraction in their own right, making the Market an ideal place not only for a meal but also for a pleasant drink – according to the press release issued for the opening.

About the brand
The first Time Out Market opened in Lisbon in 2014 and quickly became one of the city’s most popular destinations. The successful Lisbon opening was followed by further markets: Time Out Market now operates in eleven cities, including New York, Montreal, Dubai, Cape Town and Osaka, with numerous new locations in the pipeline and advanced negotiations under way in several cities. The same principle applies at every location: a carefully curated selection of the city’s best food and cultural experiences under one roof.

Time Out was launched in London in 1968 with a mission to help people discover and connect with the newly emerging urban cultures – today it is the only global brand focused specifically on city life. Local experts in more than 350 cities across more than 50 countries create content on what is worth doing, seeing and tasting – all through a unique platform model spanning digital and physical channels.
