Housed in one of the capital's most impressive historic buildings, Kozmo Hotel Suites & Spa*****, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, celebrated its fourth anniversary with an exclusive event. The special occasion brought together Kozmo's key corporate partners – nearly one hundred invited guests – to raise a glass to the hotel's success.
Historic past – modern elegance
Kozmo is a unique architectural gem: the Telecommunications Palace (Távközlési Palota), which houses the hotel, was completed in 1917 to plans by Ray Rezső Vilmos and for more than eight decades operated as Hungary's largest telecommunications centre. After careful restoration, its Spanish owners opened the five-star hotel in autumn 2020, preserving the building's original beauty – so the country's second-largest main staircase after that of the Parliament still welcomes guests in its original splendour. The perfect harmony of historic elements and contemporary design, a reinterpretation of classic luxury, is what makes Kozmo Hotel unique.
An oasis of relaxation in the heart of Budapest
The hotel has 62 spacious rooms and 22 suites, with large terraces and unique views. King-size beds, double soundproofing and carefully chosen details ensure guests' undisturbed rest. The hotel's restaurants, the Bistro Bár and the Kozmo Étterem, welcome not only hotel guests but also gourmets from outside with refined, sophisticated dishes of international and Hungarian cuisine. The cosy, hidden inner courtyard is an ideal spot for brunch and cocktails in the summer months. The Valmont Spa helps guests recharge completely – alongside the 17-metre swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and face and body treatments, a fitness room equipped with modern Technogym machines is also at guests' disposal. The Spa is open to outside guests as well.
A memorable event venue
Kozmo also has outstanding facilities for hosting events. Its four conference rooms, with natural daylight and able to be combined, can accommodate up to 150 people. For smaller gatherings, the cosy Library room, the Atrium room or the spacious suites serve as exclusive venues. The hotel's elegant Kozmo Étterem, main staircase and inner courtyard also serve as iconic settings for special events – weddings and gala dinners.
Highlights of the birthday evening
Guests at the event celebrating the fourth anniversary of the hotel's opening were welcomed by hotel director Madurka Balázs and head of sales Simon Bea. “It is a great pleasure for us to host our partners this evening; without their trust we could not have achieved everything we have built over the past four years,” the director emphasised. “Our aim is to continue conveying Kozmo's quality hospitality and quiet luxury to our guests in the future,” added Simon Bea.
During the evening, Cserpes Laura gave an exclusive concert, followed by a fashion show of NOS Simple's new collection, which enchanted the guests. The offering included, among other things, the house signature cocktail, the “Kozmo-politan”, Cava, finger food with unique flavours, Spanish-inspired dishes and gourmet desserts. The birthday cake, whose four tiers symbolised the hotel's four years, was cut by Madurka Balázs together with Kozmo's chef, Feith Attila, and head pastry chef, Ódor Henrietta, while the DJ of Best Event, Vajas Gergő, took care of the atmosphere, and technicians from Visual Europe Group handled the eye-catching decorative lighting and technology. The programme ended with a raffle with valuable prizes.
The event was a fitting showcase of everything Kozmo stands for: historic heritage, contemporary luxury, gastronomic experiences and personal attention to guests.
