In 2024 – its first full year of operation – the Kongresszusi Központ (Congress Centre) hosted more than 50 professional and business events and welcomed almost 26,000 visitors. The proportion of returning clients reached 80%, which demonstrates the professional reputation of the organisers and the high-quality services of the venue. The centre’s cultural role is also outstanding: more than 10,000 theatre and concert-goers enjoyed performances by renowned artists, who have made Balatonfüred one of the region’s most prestigious cultural venues.
The design of the iconic plenary hall evokes the waves of Lake Balaton, creating a special atmosphere for every event – so it is no coincidence that the centre won the BigSEE Architecture Award in 2024!
In 2025 the Congress Centre will host a number of prestigious Hungarian and international events. It can provide the full spectrum of services on site and with local partners. A particular source of pleasure is that, thanks to a strategic partnership with accommodation providers in Balatonfüred, its congress packages can be sold at competitive prices. This year a significant investment was made so that the Centre can offer its partners state-of-the-art audiovisual, lighting and sound technology.
2025 is the first year in which the Congress Centre is appearing at an international trade fair: from 18 to 20 November 2025 it will present itself at the IBTM international MICE conference in Barcelona, with the open aim of becoming a venue for major international events as well.
