Hotel Divinus***** Superior, the first five-star conference and wellness hotel in Eastern Hungary, opened its doors with its elegant rooms and suites in Debrecen’s Nagyerdő, which was voted the country’s most beautiful forest in 2023.

Our hotel is set in wonderful surroundings that combine the lively atmosphere of the city centre with the soothing ambience of the city’s green heart. Another real speciality of the hotel is that in spring and summer the sightseeing train departs from right outside the entrance, allowing our guests to comfortably take in the sights of the historic city centre and the Nagyerdő park forest, winner of the title of the country’s most beautiful forest, during the approx. 1-hour ride.

Our hotel is the gateway to Debrecen’s popular Nagyerdő green belt, from where special places can be reached within a few minutes’ walk, such as the Nagyerdei Stadium, home of the DVSC team; the children’s favourite, the Sziget-kék theme park; Zoo Debrecen; the Amusement Park; the Nagyerdő Open-Air Stage with its light summer plays; the historic main building of the University of Debrecen; the iconic Békás Lake; the Mediterranean Adventure Bath and Medicinal Spa complex; and numerous themed restaurants. It has won the “Accommodation of the Year” title in several years and holds the Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice title. The basis of all these accolades is that Hotel Divinus***** Superior was the first hotel in Eastern Hungary to earn the Hotelstars.eu five-star rating, which it has since received several times. The more than HUF 370 million in funding won under the Kisfaludy Programme made numerous modernisation projects possible, allowing us to make our guests’ stay even more unforgettable with 21st-century luxury, renewed spaces and new equipment. As part of the investment, we fully renovated the hotel’s 149 rooms, its public areas and its wellness area. The developments also renewed the two restaurants, the beer garden, the children’s playground and the equipment of the conference rooms. A key aim of the development carried out with this funding is to enable us to fully meet, in future, the needs of guests arriving with particularly high expectations of quality.

Variety was the primary goal in putting together the gastronomic offering of the hotel’s Divinus Restaurant. The menu features dishes typical of Hungarian cuisine, the Hajdúság and the Hortobágy, as well as culinary elements of international cuisine. Every day here starts with an exclusive buffet breakfast, welcoming guests with a wide selection of dishes to suit every taste, heavenly coffee, fresh pastries, premium fruit juices and superb flavours. Lunch and dinner can be served as a buffet or plated. In gastronomy, too, we strive to make our guests’ time with us memorable with many innovations: with a complete interior transformation, a spacious, modern interior with new equipment and elegant furniture, a complete rethink of the service and a renewed menu, the restaurant has grown into a gastro oasis that meets every need.

The hotel’s exclusive Firenze Bar and its brand-new seasonal beer garden with terrace complete the gastronomic palette with a special ambience, attentive service, refreshing drinks and coffee specialities.

Delicious cocktail specialities, steaming premium coffees, exciting beers, countless aromas and textures – and the special setting is simply the icing on the cake. The hotel’s brand-new wellness area welcomes guests across almost 1,000 m2. A sauna park with its own relaxation garden and a warm-water relaxation pool are available to those wishing to unwind. For fans of active relaxation, we recommend the adventure pool with two swimming lanes. In addition, two bubbling jacuzzis, an infrared sauna, a Finnish sauna, a solarium, a light and aromatherapy steam cabin, a plunge pool and, to crown it all, a wellness bar ensure guaranteed recharging and regeneration.

The wellness area is complemented by a 120 m2 fitness room, which invites sports lovers with cardio machines and strength-training equipment that works every part of the body.

We have also thought of the little ones and created a brand-new children’s play area for them on the ground floor, full of fun features. In this favourite little corner for families, a colourful ball-pit dreamland, young and old alike enjoy memorable adventures. Divinus Restaurant

In the heart of the Nagyerdő, alongside grilled dishes and dishes from the à la carte menu, the offering includes refreshing cocktails, draught beers, sparkling wines, pálinkas, and international and Hungarian wines. Its main attraction is the Neapolitan pizza oven.

For hotel guests, we offer an American buffet breakfast including an à la minute breakfast.
