Building on more than one hundred and fifty years of family tradition, the Count Degenfeld family revived its vineyard estate in Hegyalja in 1994.
With twenty air-conditioned rooms and one air-conditioned suite, our castle hotel meets every need of those seeking relaxation. Comfortable armchairs, antique furniture, old paintings and Venetian chandeliers evoke the atmosphere of the 19th century.

Our cuisine is made unforgettable by clean presentation and regional dishes. Ingredients sourced from local small producers, grown on site and made in-house sit alongside ingredients typical of various international cuisines.
In our castle park we grow fruit, vegetables and herbs, which provide delicious and environmentally friendly ingredients for our seasonally changing dishes.

Terézia Chapel
The chapel standing on top of Terézia Hill was built in 1750 by Count Antal Grassalkovich in honour of Maria Theresa and in gratitude for her gifts. From the Second World War onwards it stood largely in ruins. The Count Degenfeld family restored it in 2015, and today it is a worthy station on the Mary's Way (Mária-út), which also passes through Tarcal. A footpath leads here from the hotel, so the chapel, together with its landscaped grounds, has become a unique venue for engagements, weddings, christenings and other events.
The chapel can accommodate 60 people. Its interior is made special by bespoke joinery, as well as the altarpiece and holy statues donated by the Count Degenfeld family. The Terézia Chapel is a suitable venue for the ceremonies of any Christian denomination.
