From 14 to 16 November Budapest will once again be filled with life and creativity: the BUM Workshop Festival returns, with crafts, movement, self-discovery and community experiences taking centre stage for three days.

This autumn, too, the BUM Workshop Festival is all about creative energy, self-expression and creating together. In themed streets and at several venues across Budapest, visitors can enjoy a varied programme: gingerbread making, painting, jewellery making, a print workshop and a home-brewing course, while those drawn to more spiritual pursuits will also find something to their liking – such as fortune reading, family constellations, breathing exercises or oriental dance.

Craft lovers can also try T-shirt painting, macaron jewellery making, crocheting roses and Japanese knotting. This year’s theme, “Bűbáj” (Charm), sets out to evoke the small magic of everyday life: the joy of creating, the power of inspiration and the magic of shared experiences.

BUM aims to give space to personal development and to showcase local creators. Participants can not only learn new techniques but also gain insight into the world of sustainable making, and can even create unique pieces with their own hands.

After the first festival in spring, many were eagerly awaiting the sequel – and now the city’s most creative space is opening again for three days, so that anyone can experience the freedom of creating.
