The Budapest Festival Orchestra and Iván Fischer will once again give a free open-air concert in Heroes’ Square on 12 September, which will also feature the orchestra’s newly formed children’s choir.

The concert begins at 6.30 pm, and the programme features Schubert’s Symphony No. 8, the “Unfinished”, Arvo Pärt’s Summer Waltz and Prokofiev’s Cinderella Suite. The Pärt piece will be performed by the Budapest Festival Orchestra’s Children’s Choir in the original Estonian. The concert will be conducted by Iván Fischer. It is aimed primarily at families and the youngest music lovers.

Admission is free and no registration is required. The organisers ask the audience to arrive in good time to secure more comfortable seats; paper chairs will also be provided on site, which can be taken home after the concert.
