Sustainable, responsible operation is an increasingly important consideration when choosing an event venue. In running Four Points by Sheraton Kecskemét Hotel and Conference Centre, particular attention is paid to environmentally conscious solutions alongside high-quality services.
With this in mind, the hotel has carried out several major projects in recent years. The ground-floor ballroom and its foyer, as well as the smaller rooms, have been renovated, retaining their elegant atmosphere while gaining a fresh, modern look. This was completed by a comprehensive technical upgrade of the conference centre: energy-saving lighting, built-in projectors and professional stage lighting all contribute to smooth event management.
The rooms on the upper floors have also been remodelled, with a comprehensive renewal of the hotel’s interior design. Sustainability and practical functionality were the guiding principles of the renovation, so guests can relax in a contemporary, comfortable and thoughtfully designed space.
Sustainability is reflected not only in the renovations but at every level of operation. In the hotel, plastic products have been replaced by environmentally friendly alternatives, bottled water in PET bottles by the hotel’s own bottled filtered water, and day-to-day operations are supported by selective waste collection, the use of recycled paper and energy-efficient solutions. Purchasing “green energy”, the solar thermal system and joining Marriott’s “Serve 360 – Doing Good in Every Direction” programme are all part of its long-term, responsible operation.
In professional recognition of all these efforts and its responsible operation, the hotel has been awarded the gold-level Green Hotel (2025–2026) rating announced by the Hungarian Hotel & Restaurant Association, as well as the international Green Key certification.
